The DMN-WESTINGHOUSE discharge unit is designed to prevent product bridging at the hopper outlet (up to 176 ft3). A rotating paddle inside the hopper cone keeps the product in motion. This design is particularly beneficial when dealing with mixed products, as the rotating blade helps to avoid product separation at the hopper outlet. The discharge unit guarantees a smooth product flow and maximizes the filling efficiency of the component installed below the unit (e.g. a rotary valve). All product contact surfaces are manufactured from stainless steel, and the discharge unit has specially designed seals to withstand internal pressures up to 14.5 PSI at +212°F.
